Hurricane season is among us, Just a day ago a Low pressure system off the coast of Florida has become our first named storm of the year. Lets say hello to Arthur, may he stay off shore and provide the east coast with some surf.
Arthur has been off the coast all day spinning, but tonight he sent a squall line from Naples to its center just North of Grand Bahama, I caught up with it in South Miami; searching for some active lightning shots, I set up the camera and timer and shot off a few. It was quite a show! I checked the distance and was amazed that the southern most point during the strongest flashes of blue light was over Hollywood, FL. The clouds were topped off at 60,000 ft as per the latest aviation report.
Keep an eye out to the tracking and be safe out there!
