Previous Sint Maarten Day 3 here. Its day four and there was two days left in the competition. I knew that the KLM Jumbo Jet was coming in and after scouting the beach the previous days I decided to stick around the hotel and relax a bit. It's was fun and exciting but I didn't want to burn myself out. I found a gazebo by the pool and near the bar that had sufficient shade, cool drinks at the ready, great views over looking the water, passing yachts, and clear view of any landing aircraft.
I sat under the gazebo for 2 hours watching a sea turtle surface and dive down to the reef, fed massive reef fish bread rolls, and took a few shots of passing yachts and right when I thought about packing up and moving the KLM B747 was in view. Setting up for landing I took a few test shots with a telephoto and a fish eye lens. I kept the fish eye lens on the camera for what would be my second submission of the contest. A few of the shots are below with my favorite image of the day and maybe the whole trip.

Lucky for me my wife was "scouting" for another spot after the KLM had landed. I took the stairs to the roof and stood at the penthouse balcony. Great overlook for my next and final submission of the contest.
