As some may have seen on Instagram, Facebook and right here on my own page - I come from an Aviation background. I have been photographing aircraft for quite some time, I can't pin-point the first time I started aviation photography but I do remember an air show at El Torro Marine Corps Air Station in the mid 80's with prints in storage to prove it. It took a bit of digging in the archives but found some (now) vintage aircraft both from the film and early digital times.
Early 2002 Canon EOS, 70-300mm 35mm Film - Blue Angels fly over
2003-04 Canon EOS, 70-300mm, 35mm Film - Aeropostal B727 takeoff at Miami International Airport
2003, Sony Mavica camera that used 3.5" floppy disk as storage, Air Force One in front of the old and new Miami Air Traffic Control Towers
2006, Self with A10 Warthog - early Nikon Coolpix
Today I still capture photos of military, commercial and private aircraft; I have been lucky enough to travel and capture these aircraft in a variety of roles. I don't see myself as a hardcore planespotter, I do however have a few planes that I would like to add to the list - the newest Boeing 787 and also the Air France Airbus A380 coming into Miami International Airport, along with some new livery (paint scheme).
2006-07 Nikon D70, Sigma 50-500mm, For the fans of Top Gun (Tom Cruise's 80's flick) name this plane!
Some new old shots have been added to the Military Gallery
As always you can see the newest Aircraft images online
